No amount of faith in a boring heaven can fill you with joy. You need imagination for the real thing.
When was the last time you thought of the place Jesus is preparing for you and felt genuine anticipation? Face it, the theory of heaven just doesn’t seem to fit into our lives. Like cheap hotel art, it’s “nice”. Maybe you should fake a smile so God doesn’t feel bad about how uninspired you feel about your future. But it’s not your fault. The fix isn’t more faith in something lame. Your problem is a starved imagination. And the nourishment you need is the full biblical story that’s been stolen from you.
Think of it... What kind of future would you actually enjoy? What will it be like to have an eternally unfolding relationship with Jesus?
When your imagination is fed with these vivid portraits of your destiny, God will:
• Energize and motivate your obedience to Him
• Strengthen you with endurance for all suffering
• Nourish you with impossible joy for an unshakable Kingdom
Let God capture your heart with His dream for the future. It’s the best of all possible worlds. When you see what He wants to reveal, you’ll become who you really are: a pioneer of New Earth.
