This can be helpful for a younger audience, for those who are newer to the Shakespeare canon, and for those who simply looking for a fresh approach to the great works of Shakespeare.
The abridged versions maintain the story and narrative structure of the original plays, but in a shorter version making it easier to digest Shakespeare’s works, which have remained some of the best loved and most frequently performed plays for more than 500 years.
Richard III is one of Shakespeare's longest plays, though this version is abridged down to just over 20 minutes in length. It is believed to be written in the late 1500s. It describes Richard's quest to become king of England and the intrigue that results.
