Rise of Modern Machines: Dawn of Humanity is short fiction inspired by AI's dominance in the world today and in the future. In recent years, as I’ve worked with various AI tools, an uneasy feeling about the future of humanity has grown within me. This apprehension doesn’t stem from AI’s occasional mistakes or hallucinations but from the astonishing speed at which it is improving. Tools like ChatGPT, DALL-E, Gemini, and Einstein have made remarkable progress, surpassing human error rates in many scenarios.
This short fiction emerges from that unease. It explores the possibility of AI taking control of our society and raising a critical question: could humanity become subservient to AI-controlled systems? How close are we to such a reality? And if it comes to pass, how will humanity respond?
These are the fears and questions that inspired this story. It is not just a cautionary tale, but a reflection on the choices we must make as we navigate this rapidly changing landscape.
