Acerca de este título

Robert is the most predictable old man in his mountain town. Ever since June died 20 years ago, his life has marched on with a clockwork cadence. He opens his shop every morning at the same time. He has breakfast every Friday at the same pancake shop. He has the same conversations with his friends. And never misses his grandkids’ activities—especially Callie’s soccer matches.

In fact, Robert hasn’t even left town since June died. She was an adventure-seeker. Once she was gone, so was Robert’s interest in anything outside his daily routine.

But no routine lasts forever. At an appointment with Dr. Brown, Robert learns that his routine is about to undergo some major changes.

“We don’t have time. Time has us.” Robert’s predecessor spoke these words to him the day he handed him the keys to the clock shop. Back then, Robert was a young father, newly retired from his military career. Now, Robert realizes just how true those words are.

His time on this earth is limited. How will he spend the little time he has left? Will he simply keep to his safe and predictable routine? Or embrace one last tour?

A warm and inviting story filled with words of wisdom for Robert or anyone facing the ultimate fact of life—we will all die. When Robert makes his last stop on his tour, your trust in God will be restored, your heart will be touched, and you just might start planning a tour of your own.

This is a short listen.

This is book 2 of the Postscript Book Series.

The Postscript of a letter.

That tiny bit at the end.

That might be exceedingly valuable.

The PS can reframe everything that came before.

It stands out.

It is the heart of the matter.

Like a PS, death and grief can be that bit at the end. Grief and death are valuable, though easily unconsidered. Last words from a dying loved one can reframe previous decades. And grief can become the lens through which we see everything else.

We remember. We grieve. We love.

"What is grief, if not love persevering?" (Marvel's Wandavision)

The Postscript Series is a collection of six short stories. I will warn you that someone dies in each and every story. Often the character you like the most is the one who will die, or at least is devastated by grief.

These are not victory stories. They are meaningful stories. Just as in life, we cannot always win. But we can always find meaning.

Grab a box of tissues and a little time. Each story takes an hour (or a little more) to listen to.

My prayer is that the stories in the Postscript series warm (and break) your heart, but also integrate into your heart the most avoided topic in the Western world: death.
