Acerca de este título
Orelia is fired from her job as the healer of her local brothel's pleasure girls, so she's forced to find work elsewhere. With limitied job opportunities in her small village, the witch decides to start a garden in hopes of selling the fruits of her labor as a source of income instead.
When the garden struggles to produce, Orelia seeks out the help of her wizard friend for a binding spell to merge her healing powers with the earth in hopes to make the garden grow. Only the spell backfires when a Fae man stumbles upon her home and she accidentally binds herself to him instead.
Vade is the king's royal executioner and spends his time traveling the continent doing what he does best—killing. When a name appears on the stone he carries in his pocket, he finds that person, then takes their life. Rude, merciless, and filthy rich, the Fae is content with his life of solitude until he finds himself bound to an optimistic, happy-go-lucky witch, unable to leave her side.
Together, they set out on a journey across the land to find the druid who can reverse the spell, all while Vade continues carrying out his executioner duties, much to Orelia's horror. With clashing personalities and oppposite views on nearly every aspect of life, they must learn to work together if they wish to survive.
For if one dies, so does the other.
Along the way they encounter foul creatures, twisted people, and new cities to explore. Over time, the cruel, dark-hearted Fae and the kind-spirited witch begin to grow on one another, despite their differences. But when an unexpected wrench is thrown into their plans and more than their lives become at risk, Orelia is forced to ask herself: Can light ever outshine darkness completely? Or will darkness always remain?
