When we share our prophetic gift it means that we unite with others it is as if we form a string of lights connected in unity to one power source. We become a beautiful demonstration of colorful light. Yet, it is more because this string of lights spans across the bridge to understanding the voice of God. In essence, we each receive the message God has for us, share it with others and join in reflecting His character.
The purpose of this book is not to help you figure out which color you reflect; you need to refer to the two books which precede this book, Filled with the Holy Spirit and Why the Glory Departed for that answer, but it shows you how to join with others.
Think of it like this: The Christmas bulb must be manufactured and plugged into the current working individually, before it can join the string to glow with others. We must learn what God expects of us individually, be given assignments and train into His mission for our lives. We need to become assured of our position within His Kingdom. Only when we are sure of our position within the whole structure will be able to join with others and not vie for the wrong position.
