Some Great and Mysterious Desire recounts the perilous and strange journey of the young Thaddeus Michael, and his quest to reclaim a stolen heirloom. A visit to the mansion of his estranged Grandfather brings Thaddeus face to face with the history of his family, and the mystery of his vocation. A vocation that transcends the sweep of known history, and maybe even the boundaries of the known world…
“Thaddeus, you have been learning many things, things that the wise men of old longed to know, but could not. You may, in your life, see the dark side of these many worlds, and you must not falter. Strength of will is your only friend. Your heritage, your responsibility, may bring you to the very edge of the void, so be wary. Do not stare too intently into the void, lest the void stare back into you."
