Sadie Alden has been invited to the South Coast to investigate a murder and it’s a welcome change of pace given the chaos of the past few weeks.

Hope Falls is a small town at the bottom of the main island, isolated by the cliffs that surround it and unwelcoming to outsiders. Sadie’s familiar tries to warn her that it won’t be all sand and sunshine, especially when they’re surrounded by murder suspects, but at least she can leave the werewolf drama behind for a couple of days.

The town is populated by those that fear magic in all forms, but something is happening in this place that sets her witch intuition on fire. What are the secrets hidden here? Why would they reach out for her help? Unsure as to whether her witchcraft puts a target on her back, Sadie has to hide her abilities lest she be the next one to be zipped up in a body bag.

She soon regrets heading out by herself, but it seems her guardian can’t access the town to protect her. Sibling rivalry among her friends may prove fatal, a wedding on the horizon could turn into a paranormal showdown and Kate’s karaoke birthday party is right around the corner.
