You’re probably wondering (like most) what the hell is that? It’s the best musical instrument you’ve never heard of! This is the question Michael Kollwitz has answered thousands of times as one of the first players of an innovative and radical new American stringed instrument.
Through this audiobook, listeners will discover the fascinating history of the Chapman Stick, a unique instrument that combines elements of guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums. Kollwitz shares his experiences of learning the instrument as a protege of inventor Emmett Chapman, including the challenges he faced in the earliest days of The Stick.
He shares stories of his travels, the people he's met, and the lessons he's learned along the way. Kollwitz's passion for music shines through, inspiring listeners to pursue their own creative passions and never give up on their dreams.
