Here are the stories of 10 key Shakespeare plays: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, King Lear, King Richard III, Othello, Macbeth, The Tempest, Henry V, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Timson presents the complex plots in a clear, entertaining, and informal style, presenting the main characters in the context of the famous lines. The stories contain important passages from the plays themselves, taken from the award-winning Naxos AudioBooks recordings.

Reseñas editoriales
In Stories from Shakespeare, David Timson turns the plays of Shakespeare into prose tales told in unadorned, modern English.
Juliet Stevenson and Michael Sheen perform these novelizations of Shakespeare’s work, which include A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Timson’s stories include lines of dialogue from the original works, which Stevenson and Sheen perform with stage-ready intensity. Both Stevenson and Sheen deliver these stories in an intimate tone, explaining plot points in these plays like storytellers around a campfire.
