Stuart’s got problems...
It’s raining. He’s bored.
And worst of all, he’s new in town.
So he’s got a lot to worry about.
But what does a kid like Stuart need in order to have an adventure?
A cape, of course.

“Gavin gives Stuart a childlike voice with just the right tone of longing, loneliness, and mischief, reflective of the different things that occur when he dons his magical cape. Stuffed-animal and adult voices sound alternately astounded, patient, and understanding, while Aunt Bubbles’ piercing tones indicate her feelings about talking clouds and giant pieces of toast.”
(Booklist)“Five-, six-, and seven-year-olds will be hooked by this delightful audiobook…Marguerite Gavin makes Stuart a believable little boy without sounding squeaky. And she invests the adults in his life with voices that reveal character…Gavin’s narration is melodious enough to attract children but not so singsong that it might deter adult listeners. The combination makes for perfect family listening.”
(AudioFile)“Readers who like Captain Underpants have a new choice, one that will make them howl and will not make their parents squirm.”
(Kirkus Reviews)“The story is hilariously descriptive…its engaging flow makes for a great read-aloud.”
(School Library Journal)“[A] winsomely warped tale…Readers…will happily escape with Stuart as he embarks on his confidence-building flights of fancy.”
