Madeline Cohen hosts this episode of Symphony Space’s Thalia Kids' Book Club series, featuring readings and discussion from Mary Pope Osborne, author of the Magic Tree House series of children’s books; Natalie Pope Boyce, Osborne’s sister and co-author of the Magic Tree House Research Guides series; and actor Khris Lewin, performing a selection of Osborne’s work.
Cohen and crew are lively and entertaining, and extensive audience interaction from excited kids - who get to ask questions and even read their own writing aloud - translates well for an at-home audience. Fans of Osborne’s enchanting series will not be disappointed by this similarly charming event!
