A train, a tragedy, and a long-hidden treasure.
Connie is living an idealized life in Manhattan’s Dakota building with the inscrutable Weston family. On December 8th, 1980, the 18-year-old’s idyllic life is thrown under the A train when she witnesses her husband, Dan, tragically die. In this intricately woven tale of long-buried secrets, the Weston family makes it impossible for the young widow to remain in the city.
Connie returns to the Dakota in late June 2000, determined to live the life denied to her. With Dan’s attractive 19-year-old-brother, Sam, firmly in her sight, she becomes entangled in a labyrinthine mystery. A love triangle develops when Connie is forced to turn to Anthony, an obsessive computer geek from her past.
As the trio arrives in Hawaii to search for a horde of gold, their adversaries are already gathering, determined to seize the prize for themselves.
