Reseñas editoriales

Listeners will thrill to hear David Timson’s lively and engrossing performance of "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches", one of Arthur Conan Doyle’s last Sherlock Holmes stories excerpted from the author’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which collected the fictional super sleuth’s final slew of adventures. In this curious mystery, Holmes advises a woman concerned about whether to accept a strange governess position which stipulates a selection of extremely unusual requirements. And of course Holmes’ expert deductive skills are required to puzzle out a series of further mysterious circumstances once his client takes residence....

Timson is a practiced performer whose easy familiarity with Doyle’s characters, and with his sparse, active prose, is readily apparent in this enjoyable performance.
