The house is everything they ever wanted... until they find something shocking in the backyard.
Newlyweds Brett and Emily Larson move into their dream home, an idyllic farmhouse deep in the Adirondacks. Their whole lives are ahead of them... and Emily has just found out she's pregnant.
Brett is digging up the old cow pasture to create the perfect garden. His shovel hits a rock. But as he scrapes the soil away, he realizes it's something else. A bone. And there's another one.
Emily comes out from the kitchen with iced tea. She crouches over the bones. "They look human," she says. "That one's a leg bone. A femur."
Buried with the bones is a tin box containing a handwritten note. On it is a name and a number: Dr. Rhea Runic. 411.
The Larsons have unearthed something bigger and darker than they could ever imagine, threatening everything they've built: their marriage, their lives, their future family.
This tense and twisting thriller is perfect for fans of K.L. Slater, Linwood Barclay, Harlan Coben, John Marrs, and Claire Douglas.
