"Four top-tier narrators give voice to the many comic, bittersweet, and downright dark moods of one of America’s most celebrated authors in this short story sampler. Shaun Taylor-Corbett breezes through the hilariously pointed “Hail to the Chief,” in which a congressman loses the deed to the United States. Cary Hite gives a straightforward reading of Bradbury’s 1946 story “Chrysalis,” about two young men, one Black and one white, who meet on a California beach. Janina Edwards finds a gentle, easy delivery as a young couple discover a healing kitten in “The Cat’s Pajamas,” while Jacques Roy provides a sense of calm dread in “All My Enemies Are Dead” and “The Completist,” where the ordinary suddenly becomes the macabre."
