The Filipino in Me is a warm and welcoming audiobook that introduces young listeners to cultural identity through everyday values rather than formal lessons or definitions. The story gently explores what it means to be Filipino by focusing on family, respect for elders, kindness, resilience, and pride in one’s roots.
Written in clear, accessible language, the book helps children understand meaningful ideas through familiar moments and relationships. Instead of explaining culture outright, the story shows it through actions, traditions, and shared experiences, making the message easy to follow and naturally engaging for young audiences.
What sets The Filipino in Me apart is its inclusive and thoughtful tone. While grounded in Filipino culture, the story speaks to children of all backgrounds who are learning about belonging, identity, and self-worth. It celebrates heritage without comparison and encourages pride without excluding others.
Well suited for classrooms, libraries, and family listening, The Filipino in Me is a meaningful introduction to cultural identity that encourages respect, understanding, and pride in oneself and others.
