The third book in the Mousey Fables children's fantasy novel series.
After having defeated Lord Swine and liberated his farm, Mousey returns to Vulpa the Trickster Vixen in the ruined city of the Tall Apes. There, he encounters a wrong that is worse than all others, the dreaded Silence. The Silence is a predator worse than any other, as it makes no sound, has no scent, and no one knows what it looks like.
After hearing stories of an owl who is supposedly prophesied to one day defeat The Silence, Mousey sets out to the city of Salix, a bird city built in a weeping willow tree in the Aeon Forest. With the help of the frog knight, Sir Ranae, a prophesying firefly named Stella, many feathered friends, and Sopher, the Golden Book, Mousey will get to the bottom of this mystery and find a way to stop The Silence from swallowing the world."
