Family life in wartime America could be fun - if you had a sense of humor! Here's William Bendix as the clamorous-yet-caring father and "revoltin'" riveter Chester A. Riley, who always seemed to end up on the silly side of things! Through 16 digitally restored and remastered episodes from 1944, Riley cozies up to the boss, competes with the neighbors, and causes all manner of comic calamity. Paula Winslow, Conrad Binyon, Sharon Douglas, and John Brown co-star, as the Riley family soldiers on through vacation troubles, miscommunications, and screwy celebrations.
Episodes include: "Van Planten Theater", 02-20-44; "The Houseboat Vacation, Part 1", 08-27-44; "The Houseboat Vacation, Part 2", 09-03-44; "A Model Boat for Junior's Birthday", 09-10-44; "Roswell Spends the Weekend at the Beach with the Rileys", 09-17-44; "Making Each Other Jealous", 09-24-44; "Muley's Surprise Party for Riley", 10-08-44; "The Boss's Son-In-Law", 10-22-44; "Piano Lessons for Junior", 11-05-44; "Big Football Bet", 11-12-44; "Turkey Hunt", 11-19-44; "Bridesmaid Babs", 11-26-44; "Most Popular Boy", 12-03-44; "Riley's Mash Note at Night School", 12-10-44; "Roswell's a Guest for Christmas", 12-24-44; "New Year's Eve Party", 12-31-44.
