In The Lives and Deaths of the Biblical Fathers, each listener is granted a remarkable window into the spiritual and historical world of early Christian scholarship through the voice of Saint Isidore of Seville (c. 560–636). Drawing from Scripture, ancient traditions, and rabbinic lore, this newly accessible translation—now in English for the first time—gathers the lives of the great figures of salvation history, from Adam to the apostles, into one chronological collection.

Far more than a reference work, Saint Isidore breathes life into familiar names, illuminating their virtues, struggles, and enduring significance with clarity and reverence. Isidore’s concise yet richly textured portraits reveal unexpected details while guiding listeners toward a deeper understanding of how the faith was formed, preserved, and handed down across generations.

Ideal for anyone looking for a devotional approach to the genealogy of our Faith, this work offers a compelling blend of theology, history, and storytelling.
