What if a chance meeting on a lonely road changed the course of your life? A Christian time-travel adventure for 12 and up. And, an award-winning drama echoing It's a Wonderful Life and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Fourteen-year-old Richie runs off to the Missouri woods to take a break from his moody aunt. He soon discovers that he's been sent back in time fifty years. So, who sent him back? Could it be that oddly angelic truck driver?
Richie is a capable woodsman. But there's much he doesn't know, like how to survive a freak fall thunderstorm when he's dressed for summer. A reclusive African-American woodsman offers help, but Richie is suspicious. And soon, he finds himself facing the prejudices of an earlier era as he tries to stop a terrible crime.
Find out today why so many fans love this book and its positive message of reconciliation and hope. A Missouri Woods Rescue story.

"Part survival story, part exploration of racial justice in America, part journey of self-discovery, and wholly engaging and memorable. A well done and powerful story. It is certainly stuck in my head."—Joe Corbett, school librarian, St. Louis
