The industrial past brought to life. We see Rocket in action, witness history being made on Ainsdale beach and go mining in St Helens. Stories of real people grafting hard to put food on their tables. The legendary Arts and Culture of Liverpool is written large throughout The Merseyside Poems, after all there's an embarrassment of riches there enough to inspire any poet! It would be rude not to include plenty of humour in any work purporting to embody this unique region. Dean Fraser nails it!
