Welcome to the joyous world of Mina and best friends Reema and Mobeen. Bursting with friendship, family and fun adventures – and perfect for reluctant readers!

"Funny, heartwarming and ideal for independent junior readers" – Booktrust

‘Pitch perfect’ – Bookseller

‘Highly entertaining!’ – Guardian

Mina, Reema and Mobeen can’t wait to go on their school trip, an overnight stay at Shiremoor Oaks Adventure Centre … until somebody spooks them with stories about Bertie Blackteeth: who haunts the woods, who sharpens her toenails with twigs, who is waiting to skewer her next unfortunate victim all over with cheese-and-onion crisps!

With Bertie Blackteeth lurking and the school bully seeming to have become the teacher’s pet – this trip will test their friendship, courage and love of potato chips to the limit.

Funny, fast-paced and full of heart, The Misadventures of Mina Mahmood: School Trip! is a richly illustrated children's novel for readers aged 7–11. A perfect book for:

  • Readers who love diverse, funny family stories
  • Children of Bangladeshi and South Asian heritage seeing themselves on the page for the first time
  • Anyone who has ever been dragged on a family holiday they didn't ask for

Also in the Misadventures of Mina Mahmood series:
