The Misfits of the Gridiron is a comedic sports novella about second chances, teamwork, and the most impossible football team ever assembled.
Jack Jackson was once a rising star in college football—until one disastrous call turned him into a national punchline. When a secret government project offers him a job coaching an experimental team, Jack expects egos and dysfunction. What he gets is far worse.
His new players have been pulled from history itself:
- A prehistoric warrior with unstoppable strength
- A deadly Mongolian huntress who treats the field like a battlefield
- A disciplined World War II paratrooper
- A flamboyant 17th-century matador who believes football is performance art
Together, they must learn the rules of the modern game—and how to trust one another—while being watched by scientists, bureaucrats, and a world eager for spectacle.
Blending laugh-out-loud humor with real emotional stakes, The Misfits of the Gridiron is a heart-driven sports comedy about failure, redemption, and why teams matter more than talent.
Perfect for listeners who enjoy underdog stories, sharp character comedy, and sports fiction with genuine heart.
