When Rhett Mayes brings his family and some friends along on a beach vacation to Mexico, trouble is the farthest thing from his mind. But when their trip takes a dark and dangerous turn, he finds himself at the mercy of mysterious forces he can't begin to understand. As an unknown illness takes hold of his family, Rhett is thrust into a new world, a strange place not quite like home. In it, he discovers that not all is as it seems, and he must learn to navigate the new world around him if he hopes to save his family—and himself.
