The Princess and the Principalities is a literary allegorical novel in the tradition of George MacDonald and C.S. Lewis. Set in a secluded valley ruled, in all but name, by a revered religious hierarchy, the story follows Magdalene, the daughter of a prominent family whose estate serves as the spiritual center of her community. Raised to believe that obedience is godliness and doubt is danger, she grows up within a world of ritual, devotion, and quiet control.

As Magdalene comes of age, her path crosses increasingly with Kenzie, a thoughtful young man who asks questions she has been taught never to entertain. While she is drawn toward a life of sacrifice and service within the religious system known as the Teach, he begins to uncover unsettling truths about its origins, doctrines, and hidden abuses. Beneath the outward beauty and solemn order of the valley, darker forces are at work, both human and spiritual.

Blending fairy-tale imagery, theological themes, and psychological realism, the novel explores faith, power, manipulation, conscience, and the cost of awakening to truth. At once a spiritual fable, a coming-of-age story, and a critique of religious authoritarianism, The Princess and the Principalities examines what happens when sincere devotion is shaped by a system that confuses control with godliness, and what it takes for a soul to find freedom, honesty, and love.
