Dalton Teban is trying to follow his mission to quietly investigate and eliminate the criminal that broke the magical seal maintaining the balance between the five worlds. But when the information that the demon Yokouro DeVastes is at large is leaked, panic grips the realms. Riots, public outcry, and terrified destruction begin to permeate the various societies, breeding more fear among the people of the realms and putting a new weight on Dalton’s assignment.

But the growing distrust in the Guardians and the Dimension Protection Council is not the only concern weighing on Dalton. His powers are growing in an alarming manner, and the enemy seems more interested in fanning Dalton’s potential than destroying him. The others on Team Dalton try to support their team leader, but with only vague prophecies and uncertain conjectures, the team becomes paranoid and frustrated.

Amid accusations of having the Guardian Tournament fixed in their favor, Team Dalton struggles to tell friend from foe. Other Guardians are beginning to suspect an inside plot for the demons to take over council and distrust continues to mount in those surrounding Dalton and his team. When Dalton learns that his battle with Yokouro is part of a prophecy that could lead to the apocalypse, the pressure threatens to destroy him entirely.

Team Dalton finds themselves trapped in a horrific game with fate, where they must choose whether to fight what destiny has in store for them, or accept it and try to survive a battle with one of the most powerful beings in the universe.
