A man who can’t see color. A woman who’s afraid to leave home. The moment they meet, they become the only color left in each other’s world. For nine years, James Daniels has lived in a world without color—and with a sadness he can’t explain. Eleanor Carson has endured the same impossible condition, plus an anxiety that keeps her life small and safe. Then it happens. James sees a woman in blazing color, shining like she’s wrapped in light. Eleanor glimpses a man at a bus stop—also in full color, also surrounded by an aura. They’re strangers… yet somehow they’re connected to each other’s world.
When fate draws them together, their connection becomes undeniable: his melancholy eases, her anxiety loosens, and the grayscale life they’ve accepted for nearly a decade begins to crack. But with every step toward healing, the mystery deepens — because James’ dreams are pulling him toward a shining door that shouldn’t exist, while Eleanor’s dreams warn of something darker waiting just ahead. Some doors lead to second chances. Others demand a price. The Shining Door is a romantic fantasy drama threaded with psychological mystery, where two broken lives collide—and the truth behind their lost years is closer than they think.
