'Belinda Bauer is a marvel. Her novels are almost indecently gripping and enjoyable, and The Shut Eye is possibly her best yet' SOPHIE HANNAH
Five footprints are the only sign that Daniel Buck was ever here.
And now they are all his mother has left.
Every day, Anna Buck guards the little prints in the cement. Polishing them to a shine. Keeping them safe. Spiralling towards insanity.
When a psychic offers hope, Anna grasps it. Who wouldn't? Maybe he can tell her what happened to her son...
But is this man what he claims to be? Is he a visionary? A shut eye? Or a cruel fake, preying on the vulnerable?
Or is he something far, far worse?

Reseñas de la crítica
[Belinda Bauer] is such an interesting writer - a restless intelligence that always goes its own way, but always comes up with something that feels both surprising but inevitable.
The most polished crime writer on the murder beat . . . Exhausting, exhilarating and damn scary
'Belinda Bauer is a marvel. Her novels are almost indecently gripping and enjoyable, and The Shut Eye is possibly her best yet
One of the most individual of crime writers . . . Bauer is streets ahead of most of her rivals
A twisty, fast-paced plot that kept me on tenterhooks
An intricate plot, extremely moving in some places - Bauer's ability to get under the skins of her characters is second to none
So much more than an simple whodunit - a clever, sophisticated modern crime novel
[A] cracking psychological thriller
Belinda Bauer is disconcerting. She follows none of the usual formulae governing crime fiction, defies easy labelling and sees deeper than most into people's emotions.
Nobody scares me quite like Belinda Bauer
