"Once upon a time there were a king and a queen who were very unhappy because they had no children." Thus begins this audiobook of C. S. Evans' version of one of the most beloved of children’s stories. The royal couple's wish is fulfilled but with bittersweet tidings, as an angry fairy curses their newborn daughter to fall into a 100-year slumber on her 15th birthday.
Suhaila Elatar performs this tale with equal parts tenderness and exuberance, bringing to life this sweet and haunting classic; an enjoyable audio experience for families and lovers of the classic fairy tale.
