Plato
Step into the mythic and metaphysical brilliance of Plato’s Timaeus and Critias, two of the most enigmatic and influential dialogues in Western philosophy.
In Timaeus, Plato explores the origins of the cosmos through the voice of a Pythagorean philosopher who weaves a narrative of divine geometry, eternal forms, and the creation of the soul. It is one of the earliest and most profound attempts to marry science, theology, and philosophy into a single cosmological vision—describing how the Demiurge, a benevolent divine craftsman, shaped the universe with reason and harmony.
Critias follows with a tantalizing, unfinished tale that gave birth to the legend of Atlantis. Through Solon’s recounting of ancient Egyptian knowledge, Plato sketches a majestic empire of immense power and technological advancement, which ultimately falls into moral decay and divine punishment. It's not just a myth—it’s a warning, a parable, and a mirror for the corruption of societies.
These two works together form the philosophical foundation of many Renaissance and modern esoteric traditions. Whether you're drawn to their spiritual cosmology or the mystery of Atlantis, Plato’s dialogues offer a timeless journey into human origins, political virtue, and metaphysical truth.
