Discover the remarkable life of Tom Petty....
Tom Petty is one of the greatest icons of rock and roll music. He is known for his classic hit songs, such as “Free Fallin’”, “I Won’t Back Down”, and “Learning to Fly”, just as much as for his cool demeanor. Who could ever forget the image of Petty on the Heartbreakers’ debut album in a leather jacket adorned with bullets and a larger-than-life sneer?
Born in Gainesville, Florida, Tom Petty found his passion for music at a young age, inspired by the early rockstars of the 1950s and 1960s. His distinctive voice and knack for crafting deeply resonant songs quickly propelled him to stardom, and throughout his career, he sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. It was with much sadness that the world heard of Tom Petty’s passing in 2017, but nevertheless, the legacy of this icon lives on. This is his life—this is his story.
