How better to introduce young children to Tu B'Shevat, the birthday of the trees, than through colorful pictures that show what the holiday is all about? In this colorful board book, a child can see a young family planting trees, feeding birds, and filling plates with the traditional figs, nuts, and dates. Each page repeats the phrase 'Tu B'Shevat is coming' until the holiday finally arrives and is properly celebrated with outdoor fun. This book, part of a series that introduces different Jewish holidays, is a lovely teaching tool that can be used both at home and in preschool programs. This selection, like the others in the series, is both appealing and educationally sound. Recommended for ages 1 to 5." (Jewish Book Council)
