It's Darcy Thomas' summer home: the Dungeon of Horrors, owned by Jake, the gorgeous green-eyed uncle she's just met. But the gory fun turns to terror when real bodies are found with the mark of a vampire on their throats - and Darcy is targeted as the next victim.

When 17-year-old Darcy's mother gallivants off to Europe to get married, she leaves the girl with her Uncle Jake, whose business, a horror museum called The Dungeon of Horrors, is also his home. Richie Tankersley Cusick's young adult suspense story Vampire follows Darcy as a series of strange events take place surrounding her summer home - including a shocking number of dead girls found in alleys with slashes on their throats, a clear sign of a vampire on the loose. Experienced audiobook performer Judith West adeptly embodies a range of characters, from teenaged Darcy to her imperious mother and her quirky uncle, lending tension to the plot's surprising twists and turns.
