In the quiet Southern town of Cottageville, nothing stays buried forever—grief, grudges, or the past.
When Josie returns home after her mother’s sudden death from a stroke, she finds herself face-to-face with the ghosts she thought she'd left behind. The old family home now belongs to her and her brother Mark, a man haunted by their shared childhood and numbed by alcohol. The house is heavy with silence, memories, and the unresolved tragedy of their father’s drowning—a wound neither of them has truly faced.
Cottageville hasn’t changed much, but Josie has. As she tries to clean up her brother’s life and come to terms with her own, tensions flare between siblings, family truths start to surface, and a ten-year-old boy named Tyler—Mark's son—becomes the quiet heart of the storm.
This is not a story of secrets, but of dysfunction: of love bent under pressure, of emotional inheritance, and the long shadow cast by loss. "Where the River Bends" is a deeply human Southern drama about the ties that choke and the ones that heal—sometimes they’re the same
