Reseñas editoriales
Patricia L. Lawrence speaks with L. Frank Baum historian Kathleen Discenna about the life of the author of some of the world's most beloved children's books, including The Wizard of Oz. Lawrence and Discenna meet at Ste. Marie among the Iroquois on Onondaga Lake near Syracuse, New York, where Baum was born, to discuss Baum's personal history as the scion of a wealthy family. Although Baum would go on to worldwide success, he was initially rejected by almost every publisher of his day. Discenna also reveals Baum's advocacy of women's suffrage, a movement which inspired some of the stories he wrote.
