Five years ago, Jori-Ray Rose was Senator John Stone’s very beautiful and very secret lover. She was also the person who broke into his house one night and killed his daughter. It was one of Nick Teffinger’s first homicide cases. Every shred of evidence pointed to her—blood, DNA, surveillance, all of it. Teffinger never even had to seriously consider any other persons. The jury agreed and convicted her. Now, five years later, she has escaped from prison and is on the run. Instead of disappearing into the recesses of the world, however, she’s back in contact with Teffinger. She wants him to re-open the case and find the real killer. And she has a plan to force him to do it.
Jim Michael Hansen (sometimes writing as R.J. Jagger) is the author of over 25 hard-edged mystery and suspense thrillers, including the Nick Teffinger thrillers, the Bryson Wilde thrillers, and the Nicole Stone thrillers. In addition to his own books, he also ghostwrites for a popular bestselling author. He is a member of the International Thriller Writers and the Mystery Writers of America.
