Julia Bancroft was a state park and forest ranger in Southern California who just happened to be at the wrong place...at the right time. The result was the launching of an eight-year career on the airwaves that would change the sound and scene of Los Angeles radio forever.
Ariel Archer presents the tale of the "Rockin' Raven", a pioneer in the world of Top 40 women DJs and a fictional pop culture icon on the fictional radio station KBRD. First mentioned in previous works such as The Madison-McKinley Files and Strike Zone, the Raven's unabridged and thrilling story comes to life in this creative memoir, told in Archer's documentary narrative style, now available at last for those from Owl-hambra to San Bird-nardino and beyond to enjoy.
