When I started this book, I was expecting the story to be 14 volumes and to become fed up with it with time as it usually happens to me. It is not at all the case with this one. It is not perfect, mind you, but it is terrebly enjoyable and satisfying, it has all the ingredients and it is well ended, feels a tad bit rushed but I honestly didn't quite mind. It is a standalone so I would try it if I were you.
