Die Tochter, die zuvor ein Jahr in der Residenzstadt verbracht hat, hat dort Karl Olmers kennengelernt, den sie gerne heiraten möchten. (Herr Karl Olmers). Kurz vor der Verlobung mit Sperling taucht Karl Olmers in Krähwinkel auf und versucht, die Verlobung mit Sperling zu verhindern und die Angehörigen von Sabine für sich zu gewinnen.
