This book builds on the person-centered medicine movement to promote a shift in the philosophy of care of distress. It discusses the vital importance of whole person health, healing, and growth. Michael Lynch, the central figure of this book, was a long-time gay activist and a dynamic force in organizing an early response to the AIDS epidemic.
