A shortage of men during World War II in a rural Michigan town causes Myrtle to become a preacher. She ministers to her community with wit, wisdom, a practical approach and insights far ahead of her time. But when the war ends, Myrtle must look to her close-knit family for support, as she battles small-town preconceptions that stand in the way of her continuing ministry.

The first murder of a child raised eyebrows; the second raised alarms. Ten-year-old Dewey is moving, and he couldn't be more excited; though, he's alone in his enthusiasm. Dava Sobel’s thoughtful play brings to life the story of Nicolaus Copernicus, the Renaissance astronomer, and mathematician who proposed the heliocentric model of the universe in which the Sun stands at the center. Plagued by self-doubt and threatened by religious censure, Copernicus resisted the publication of his work until just before his death in 1543. The play follows Copernicus in those final years as he works to complete his research with the help of Georg Rheticus, a young disciple from Wittenberg, Germany.

Full of nostalgia and humor, it follows the story of Rosylyn DeMarco, a dancer and actress in Vaudeville. When the play begins the time is now. Rosylyn is old— very old. She reminisces with Buddy Jr., the Cable Guy, about the Roaring Twenties and her Vaudeville days. The time switches to then, and a fresh-faced young Rosylyn steps off the bus and into a new life in New York City.
