Deep beneath the ocean, there is a shimmering palace. Built of coral walls and windows of clearest amber, it is the kingdom of the merpeople. And one of these mermaids you might know well: she is the youngest, and is gifted with the most beautiful voice. Unhappy with her life as a mermaid, she dreams of living on dry land. One day, on her birthday, she ascends to the surface to find a magnificent three-masted ship drifting in calm waters. There, amongst the passengers, she meets the brown-eyed prince.

One day, when nobody is is looking, she slips above the waves and falls in love with a prince. Longing to see him again, she asks the Sea Witch to help her become human. But, for Sea Witch’s spell to work, the Little Mermaid must make a difficult choice. Will she ever see the prince again?

The Little Mermaid rescues a young prince from a shipwreck. She begs her father to let her become human so she can find the prince she had rescued. Her father gets angry and refuses. In desperation, she gets the wicked sea witch to make her human, and the sea witch agrees. There is a catch—she has three days to make the prince fall in love with her or she has to give her voice up to the sea witch.
