The Witch of Atlas is a poetic narrative, written in 1820 and published posthumously in 1824. The witch is the daughter of the Pleiades, the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Fortuna Page is a practicing witch in Massachusetts USA and has dabbled in poetry, the craft, Eastern meditation, song, acting, vegetarian cooking, and world travel. She loves to spend time with her familiars, cats, Gatto and Barnabus and her meditation groups. A few years back she visited a witchcraft shop in Salem MA. She experienced a vision of sights and sounds of nature there. This particular visit the nature phenomenon did not occur but something else did. Leaving the shop Her companion bought a pen in the next shop and then dropped it.

Yes, the title is misspelled on purpose. Jesus told parables-stories of different aspects of God-to help humans understand our Father. I think that our brains would blow up if we tried to take in EVERYTHING that is God. But we don't farm, work, or live the same way as they did then. So you will find in this book imperfect images of different aspects of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and sometimes, the melancholy cry of a soul.

As we travel through life every day, we are faced with situations or celebrations that require some type of response—written or verbal. When this happens, it leaves little or no time to rush to the card outlet, going from aisle to aisle trying to find just the right card that will convey our deepest thoughts, usually resulting in the selection of slightly bent or smug finger print cards. We could spend hours upon hours picking our brains or perhaps walking the floor all night trying to find those special words for that special person in our lives. Till now, that was a problem.

The purpose for which I wrote the following poem(s) is because they assisted me in expressing the feelings, thoughts, and emotions which I was having at the time while I walked through a relatively challenging period of my life. I hope to inspire other young Black males to also express their thoughts, talk about their feelings, and to hopefully try to make the world a better place. Allow yourself as the listener to think of your own perspective regarding these topics, issues, and subject matters.
