Although her husband, Derek, managed to talk her out of taking her life, she will never forget the look of horror on his face as he begged her to hand him the gun. Thankfully, her grandchildren have never known her struggles with mental trauma.

On the Cusp is a combination of the author’s testimony and memoirs, leading the listener through her innocence in the sixties and seventies, the tumultuous eighties and nineties, and the turning towards Jesus Christ (Yeshua) as Lord and Savior in the new century of the two thousands. There is an undercurrent of love and acceptance portraying an undeniable part of the Lord’s patience and grace throughout the work, combined with His just nature.

As we traverse the path of life have, we ever stopped to think about what it would be like if we became sick or disabled? I am sure that thought is never uppermost in our minds because after all who wants to get sick. We all want to be in good health and live life to its fullest. However, we must be aware that life is not always chocolate and roses, we sometimes must go through the dark valleys and the trenches. Now that I have been through my deep, dark valley and came out victorious I can encourage others to keep your hope alive because “it is not finished until God says it’s finished.”

Today, men and women are running around empty, trying to fill a void within with other things like busyness, addictions to work, high debt, making idols of your children, alcohol, drugs, pornography, serial dead end relationships, and sex without commitment. My audiobook is about recognizing the wounds we all have from growing up that handicap us until we face them and overcome them.

If you are considering buying this book, let me be honest with you: It has taken me 26 years to write it. This book began when my father died. I had a nudging in my heart and spirit to tell my story. Like most of us, we start and stop so many things in life. I started and stopped so many times because I was questioning myself. My first thoughts were who would want to listen to it and would anyone buy it. It started with the loss of my dad on January 11, 1995, and that all changed when my mother passed on January 18, 2021.

Do you know God? Can we know God? How does one get to know God? Who is God? What God do we want to know? Spending time in God’s presence is the way to get to know him.

Ephesians 4:10-13 tells us that as Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave various gifts to mankind for the perfecting and full equipping of the body of Christ. This is the mandate that I follow as I am directed by the Holy Spirit, who unveils to me various understandings and practical applications of the Word of God. This book is a study of the Bible. It is written in a way that can be easily understood casually, or for in-depth study, as there are scriptural references that may be followed up on. It is illumination and enlightenment for anyone who has that desire. All glory be to God.
