This material, they said, had the marvellous property of only being visible to those who did their job well. It was the perfect offer for our fashionable king, who immediately placed an order.

I H.C. Andersens kunsteventyr "Tommelise" møder vi først en barnløs kvinde, der så inderligt ønsker sig et barn, at hun opsøger en heks for at få hjælp. Heksen giver kvinden et korn, som hun skal passe godt på. Kornet spirer og bliver til en smuk blomst. En dag åbner blomstens knop sig og ud kommer pigen Tommelise, der er så lille, at hun kan sejle på en åkande og sove i en nøddeskal. Mange ønsker at eje den lille og fine Tommelise, men hun er, på trods af sin størrelse, et væsen med ret til at være sig selv, og den ret må hun kæmpe for på sin videre færd i livet.

Sir Roger Moore reads "The Princesse on the Pea", where a prince wants to find a real princess to marry. He has travelled the world, which is full of princesses, yet he could not find a real one. So, he returns home empty-handed and sad. But one stormy night, a soaking wet princess knocks on his door and asks for shelter for the night. The prince’s mother is not convinced that she is a real princess and decided to put her to the test. Sir Roger Moore is was a British actor, most famous for portraying secret agent James Bond in seven films, including "Live and Let Die".

Ewan McGregor reads "The Little Match Girl", a story about a poor little girl who is sent by her parents to sell matches in the street. It is Christmas Eve and it is very cold, but she dares not return home empty-handed. Instead, to try and warm herself ups bit, she lights match after match, and the glow of each reveals an extraordinary, but ephemeral, vision. Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor, most famous his roles in "Trainspotting", "Moulin Rouge!" and the "Star Wars" franchise.

Stephen Fry reads "The Ugly Ducking", which tells the story of a duckling who is rejected by everyone, including his family, because he looks different. Tired of being made fun of, he decides to go far, far away. During his travels, he meets with various adventures and characters, but will anyone ever accept him for what he is? Stephen Fry is a British actor, comedian and writer. He is famous for his roles in "A Bit of Fry and Laurie", "Blackadder", "The Hobbit", "V for Vendetta" and for being the voice of the Cheshire Cat in "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass".

Sir Michael Caine reads "Little Claus and Big Claus". There are two men called Claus in the town. To tell them apart, one is called Big Claus, because he has four horses and the other one is nicknamed Little Claus, because he only has one horse. This is their story. Sir Michael Caine is a British actor, writer, and producer who has appeared in films such as "The Muppet Christmas Carol" (1992), "Inception" (2010) and "Kingsman: The Secret Service" (2014).

Charlotte Rampling reads "Thumbelina", the story of a woman who desperately wants a child but not knowing how to go about it, asks a witch for help. The witch gives her a barley seed and tells her to plant it. No sooner has she done so that a large tulip starts to grow. When it blooms, the woman discovered a tiny girl inside of the flower, no bigger than her thumb. She calls her Thumbelina. Charlotte Rampling is a British actress, singer, and model who has starred in blockbuster such as "Red Sparrow" (2018), "The Duchess" (2008), and TV shows "Broadchurch" and "Dexter".

Paul McKenna narrates It’s Quite True!. Something terrible happens one night in the henhouse and the story spreads from chicken to owl, from owl to pigeon and on to bat, and with every recounting, the story gets more gruesome. Did they all hear the tale correctly? Paul McKenna is a best-selling British self-help author, tv and radio host, behavioural scientist and hypnotist. She promises him great riches if he is willing to dive into the bottom of a hollow tree for her. In this tree, there are three chambers, each with a chest full of silver. She tells him that he can take anything he wants there, as long as he in return, brings her back her old lighter from inside the tree. Emma Samms is a British actress who is best known her roles in the TV shows Dynasty and General Hospital.
