Now that I’m officially an explorer, it’s time for my first big adventure in the ocean! I’ve never seen so much water in my life… or so many weird mobs. There are helpful dolphins, super-sleepy squids, and a parrot who doesn’t have an off switch. But something out there is wrong. There’s a shadow in the deep. Something big. Something dangerous. Fred and I have to figure out what it is before it decides we’re the next thing on the menu!

Als Eder eines Morgens eine eingeworfene Fensterscheibe in der Werkstatt vorfindet, fällt der Verdacht sofort auf Pumuckl. Dieser bestreitet gegenüber Eder jedoch seine Schuld und ist sich sicher, dass das Nachbarsmädchen Alva dafür verantwortlich ist! Weil Eder es so von ihm erwartet, fühlt sich Pumuckl genötigt, des lieben Friedens Willen zuzugeben, dass er die Scheibe eingeworfen hätte. Das blöde Gefühl der Ungerechtigkeit will jedoch einfach nicht vergehen! Pumuckl will beweisen, dass Alva das Fenster kaputt gemacht hat.

Der Herbst kommt, die Nächte werden länger und Halloween steht vor der Tür. Die Nachbarskinder wollen Süßigkeiten von Eder, doch Pumuckl isst trotz der Warnung des Schreinermeisters die bereitgelegte Schokolade heimlich auf. Ein Schluckauf plagt den Kobold nun und er hat Angst, dass ihm die „Bosheit" für immer im Hals stecken wird. Eder setzt alles daran, dem Pumuckl einen ordentlichen Schrecken einzujagen, damit der Schluckauf weggeht.

Wolle würde so gerne mit Pferd zusammen etwas spielen, aber Pferd will fernsehen. Wolle und Pferd entdecken eine Sternschnuppe am nächtlichen Himmel. Finchen hat einen Wasserrohrbruch in ihrem Laubhaufen und zieht bei Wolle und Pferd ein! Pferd kann seine Kuschelmöhre nicht finden!
