Hope Kildaire gave up her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner when a car accident killed her father and left her mother an invalid. This is a compilation of thoughts that can at times be poetic by Giselle Lumas. The thoughts were triggered during and after her father's battle with Alzheimer's, as well as the shock and disbelief of losing both of her parents within weeks of each other.

Hard work and perseverance is exactly what Rodney Batchler Jr. has; despite his dysfunctional beginnings. Although she is twenty three, attends college full time and works as a sales associate, she has a little growing up to do. She realizes she can't live with her sister and brother-in-law forever and is angry and bitter from feeling a lack of control of what happens in her life. When her sister and brother-in-law try to set her up with a successful Pediatrician she resists with all her might.

As the list of possible motives grows along with the potential suspects, will they find the murderer before anyone else gets hurt...or worse?
