Missy has returned to West Point, only to find she must once again rush off to help her buddies at Paranormal Branch. This time, her friend Tracy goes along. Missy and her friends have convinced government officials that using supernaturals can indeed be managed. Such activities must, of course, be disguised or kept secret. The greater concern now is whether any enemies of the US might have supernaturals and, if so, how to deal with them. Meanwhile, Missy enjoys day-to-day life back at the academy until learning a mob war puts some of her friends at risk; she once again confronts the local crime boss, only to end up helping him.

After gaining yet another new ability, Missy is seeking her proper balance back at West Point. The routine of studies, sports, duties...these all help her adjust - so do having friends and helping others. Of course, her life can't be that simple.
