The continued adventures and misadventures of Montana of Coggeshall.

Clyde Hatchett's latest adventure finds him wrongfully imprisoned, accused of striking the princess herself. With a death sentence hanging over him and time running out, Clyde's only hope lies in completing a series of impossible quests. Because in Glaton, being innocent isn't enough to save your neck-especially when you owe people favors.

Clyde Hatchett, Glaton's prodigal son, is finally home. Sure, he's got a whole new body and face, so nobody recognizes him. And technically he's not from Glaton—he's really only spent a few months there. But they say home is wherever your love resides, and since Nadya lives in Glaton . . . wait, does Clyde actually love Nadya? This is getting complicated. That, on top of all the problems Clyde left behind, which haven't gotten any less knotty while he was gone. The Senate is heating up, with numerous noble idiots vying for the throne. 

Greg and Julian need to make a choice—die in the tornado that’s sucked them up in their van, or agree to hunt monsters in a world full of magic and levels and, oh yeah…monsters. The two frat bros may be master ghost hunters to their podcast listeners, but they never expected their antics to be taken seriously by a goddess in another dimension. And since when are ghosts the same as monsters? Awkward. But when the other option is certain death, it seems like it’s worth giving it the old college try.

So, remember that whole 'send Montana to the capital—he's ready for prime time' plan? Yeah. That might've been a little bit hasty. Our hirsute hero really stepped in it. Like, is on the verge of losing his dukedom and everything he's worked for stepped in it. The only way out? A little-known technicality that stops Senate proceedings and sends Montana off on what's most likely an insurmountable quest. One where odds are good that he'll either die without a respawn or accidentally commit treason against the Empire.

Land-ho! Clyde and co. have finally—finally—made it to the City of Darkness. Which turns out to actually exist! One small problem though. Anyone and anything that sets foot on the island immediately disappears. Ceases to exist. Poof. To complete the quest, Clyde needs to figure out how to actually enter the city and steal the crown jewels . . . without getting stuck in the town forever. It's a foreboding, dark place (obviously), where corruption is rampant. And maybe worse: the game rules Clyde's gotten so good at bending to his will? They don't seem to apply.

Follow Clyde on his continuing adventures, as he gets back to Glaton—wait, he promised to visit the City of Darkness. Right. City of Darkness and then back to Glaton. Except . . . wait. What's wrong with the small coastal town of Furtaxo? Okay, first Furtaxo. If Clyde can get that mystery figured out, then he can move on to the next quest.

Clyde Hatchett hadn't planned on running away to become a pirate - that's just what happened. Now he's on a seaside mission far from Glaton, desperate to find the only mage capable of freeing Clyde from the corpse-king taking over his body. Get ready for a nonstop joyride full of secrets, betrayal, loot - and mermaids.

When Montana first started playing in iNcarn8, his new game life, he just wanted to be one of the good guys for a change. But despite his impressive stats and incredible heroics, even his followers are just plain scared of him. Trouble keeps pouring down Montana, even in the remote, supposedly safe holding he's building into his dukedom.   

The most dangerous night of the year is upon Coggeshall. Fiends' Night, when the boundary between Vuldranni and hell is the weakest. And so hell comes out to play. To survive the night, Montana must put his entire holding on lockdown and turn hastily made cave apartments into an actual, inviting home for thousands of Coggeshall residents. Most of whom don't really know or like each other. And all of whom have different ideas of what needs to be done on Fiends' Night.

Clyde Hatchett has known he's had a corpse-king inside him, slowly trying to take over his body and raise an army of undead for a while now. And while that may seem like a rather, um, urgent matter to attend to, it's only now, after being forced out of Glaton by his best friends and then having to rescue someone's sister from a bad marriage, that he's actually in a place to deal with it. And he better deal with it quickly, since his entire left hand is starting to look like it belongs to the Crypt-Keeper.

A Secret Service operative and dedicated survivalist, Special Agent Del Roosevelt had a plan for every world-ending scenario and regularly trained for them all. He was even ready for a date with the hottest woman in his office next Friday. At least he hoped so. But all that training, all those rations, all that prepping? Useless for the apocalypse that actually played out. Del wakes up half-buried in a giant trash pile, missing his thumbs. And, um, covered in red fur. He's stuck in a world of fuzzy monsters, senseless violence, and cult-like crusaders.

Del Roosevelt, Champion of the Midden. The first creature smart enough, strong enough, fast enough to advance in who knows how long, immediately finds himself in jail. Well, technically, it's a dungeon, but he's spent enough time putting people behind bars to recognize when he ends up there, too. Now, our little furry force needs to work the system and escape to Ratopolis with the one ally he has left.

Frisch wieder auferstanden. Weit weg von zu Hause. Ganz allein. Bis jetzt kannte Montanas Reise eigentlich nur eine Richtung: nach oben. Aber jetzt steht er wieder am Anfang: Er sitzt auf dem Gipfel eines Berges fest und hat nur die einfachste Ausrüstung, um zurück nach Coggeshall zu gelangen. Es wird ein laaaanger Spaziergang werden. Aber nicht langweilig.

Wie üblich ist Montana Coggeshall wild entschlossen, das Richtige zu tun, auch wenn das Richtige nicht gerade das Klügste ist. Also macht er sich auf den Weg, um die verderbten Ursus zu besiegen, eine Bedrohung, die so groß ist, dass sie die gesamte Welt von iNcarn8 zerstören könnte. Macht sich Montana auf den Weg, nachdem er monatelang für die kalten Wetterbedingungen trainiert, eine Armee zusammengestellt und mit seinen besten Helfern Strategien besprochen hat? Nicht wirklich.

Hinter die feindlichen Linien gezwungen. Bereit für den Kampf gegen Sklavenhändler, Spinnen und Geister. Begrüße den neuen und verbesserten Clyde Hatchett … der mittlerweile nur noch ein Nichts der Stufe 4 ist.Er ist auf einer (scheinbar endlosen) Suche, um in sein früheres Leben in Glaton zurückzukehren. Und alles, was ihm im Weg steht, sind die das Imperium hassenden Carchedonier, ein Todeskult und ein verräterisches Gruppenmitglied. Oh, und eine mythische Stadt, die höchstwahrscheinlich gar nicht existiert.

Vom Bestsellerautor von Noch einmal mit Gefühl, dem wohl wunderlichsten Romantitel für ein LitRPG-Buch! Folge Clyde auf seinen weiteren Abenteuern, während er nach Glaton zurückkehrt – warte, er hat versprochen, die Stadt der Nacht zu besuchen. Richtig. Stadt der Nacht und dann zurück nach Glaton. Aber ... warte. Was ist mit der kleinen Küstenstadt Furtaxo los? Okay, zuerst Furtaxo.

Montana Coggeshall spürt den Druck – und das nicht nur aufgrund seiner neuen Lederhose der Göttin Eona. Sein kleiner Zufluchtsort in der rücksichtslosen Welt von Vuldranni wird belagert. Von beiden Seiten. An der Spitze steht Lord Caticorix, ein erstklassiger kaiserlicher Lakai, wenn es je einen gab. Er ist eindeutig lächerlich, aber die Armee, die er mitgebracht hat, ist es vielleicht nicht. Außerdem wollen sie verhindern, dass Coggeshall Nahrung oder Vorräte von der Außenwelt bekommt. Und auf der Rückseite sitzen die Ursus, das überlebensgroße Bärenvolk, das seit jeher in diesem Tal zu Hause ist.

Von seiner eigenen Freundin entführt und auf eine gefährliche Seereise geschickt. Clyde Hatchett hatte nicht vor, wegzulaufen und Pirat zu werden - das ist einfach passiert. Jetzt befindet er sich auf einer Meeresmission weit weg von Glaton und versucht verzweifelt, den einzigen Magier zu finden, der Clyde von dem Lichkönig befreien kann, der seinen Körper übernommen hat. Mach dich bereit für eine ununterbrochene Spritztour voller Geheimnisse, Verrat, Beute – und Meerjungfrauen.

Es läuft alles darauf hinaus: Töten oder getötet werden. Clyde Hatchett weiß schon seit einiger Zeit, dass ein Lichkönig in ihm steckt, der langsam versucht, seinen Körper zu übernehmen und eine Armee von Untoten aufzustellen. Und obwohl das eine ziemlich dringende Angelegenheit zu sein scheint, ist er erst jetzt in der Lage, sich damit zu befassen, nachdem er von seinen besten Freunden aus Glaton vertrieben wurde und die Schwester eines anderen vor einer schlechten Ehe retten musste.
